Our Airfield Estate Young Farmers series is back for 2018. Each of our workshops will focus on different animals and aspects of farming. Our experienced educators will encourage children to get hands-on with life on the farm, learning about our farm animals and how they are cared for, and making toys to keep them active and entertained.
Our aim is for every child who attends these workshops to leave with a greater understanding of farm life, the animals that live there, and their role on the farm.
All workshops are hands on and outdoor based, so make sure to bring your jacket and wellies.
For our first workshop, we will get a behind the scenes look at the farmyard in spring and the chores that need to done. We will follow the journey of milk from udder to glass and learn about caring for calves by getting to know the youngest members of the herd.

Diane O’Connor is breastfeeding but she won’t let that keep her indoors. Join her in this fun and informative stand-up comedy show inspired by breastfeeding, motherhood and related adventures!
Diane O’Connor is a stand-up comedian and performer from Dublin. She has performed around Ireland, London and Edinburgh. Diane wrote and performed her first solo show “Pregnant and Standing” last year while very pregnant. She is a regular on the Dublin comedy circuit.
“Diane’s show took feminine issues often derided, often tough to tackle, and spun them into hilarious nonconfrontational set pieces. Her comedy style is simultaneously informative, sarcastic, smart, and heart-warming. The universality of being human is what lies at the forefront of her work – knowing her worth, while being able to laugh at it”
