There are many fun activities happening over the next week for you to enjoy.
Please check that they are still running before setting out, as sometimes even the best events have to be postponed.

Children’s Workshop – Origami 

Come and get creative with paper at our new children’s origami workshop, and learn about the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Did you know ‘Ori’ means fold and ‘Kami’ means paper? Having mastered the basics of this elegant art, you can then transform a sheet of paper into something exciting like an animal, tree or flower. Materials supplied.

Battle for the Bay

The idea of the event is to have as much fun as possible. So bring your friends, your family, to enjoy an amazing extreme water show and have a great day on the beach! Demonstrations of new toys will be organised thanks to our Watersport partners…it will be the best chance you have to try out what’s hot or ask the pros from some reviews!

If you want to learn about the sport, powerkite and SUP introductions will be offered by qualified instructors.Who knows, you could be competing by next year! There will be live music stages with great Bands and Djs playing all day long some cool tunes. And there’ll be plenty to eat at the Food Village. Plus Funfair Attractions and a Kids Zone and The Biodiversity Village for the kids.
The Biodiversity Village is a exciting place to explore the wildlife of Dublin Bay with some very friendly Experts! Experience highly recommended for the family!
So bring your picnic blanket, swimming trunks and suntan lotion (and maybe an umbrella just in case) and come down to the beach!

During these free sketching workshops for families, we invite you to explore and respond together to our collection and temporary exhibitions through discussion and drawing. Bring your own sketchbook or avail of the drawing materials provided.

Bark in the Park

Calling all our four-legged, waggy-tailed, furry friends…bring your humans along to the first Bark in the Park sponsored dog walk of 2018 at the gorgeous St. Anne’s Park Raheny on Sunday 27th May. You’ll be in for an afternoon of fun, laughs and plenty of barks….and a few surprises too!! It all sniffs off at 3pm, come early at 2pm and meet lots of new doggy friends! We’re super excited to be partnering with Positive Dog Training this year and the PDT team will be hosting family friendly dog classes and training demos as well as fun games for everyone to enjoy! Our walk barks off 3pm but come early and enjoy the fun, games, demos and training tips….and meet new doggy friends!

There’ll be music, games, raffles and very exciting dog competitions to find the Dogs with the Happiest Smile, Waggiest Tail, Shiniest Coat, Best Bark and Best Overall Dog. Is your dog up to the challenge? Our dog competition prizes and participant goody bags (there’s one for everyone in the audience!) are very kindly sponsored again this year by our Bark in the Park sponsors MAXI ZOO IRELAND.

Pets need our help so we need yours.

Ever wondered what it would be like to play a piano, pluck a violin string or blow into a saxophone? Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox

Following on from the Sell-Out Success of Summer 2017’s James & the Giant Peach, this year Mill Productions will be bringing another Roald Dahl Classic to the dlr Mill Theatre stage in June 2017 – Fantastic Mr Fox!  This production will certainly end the academic year on a high note but it will book out fast so please book early! Directed by Geoff O’Keeffe, with Matthew O’Brien as Mr Fox and Evelyn Shaw as Mrs Fox and a supporting cast.
