Take a look at the family friendly events happening in and around Dublin over the next week for you to enjoy.
Please check that they are still running before setting out, as sometimes even the best events have to be postponed.

Solar Powered Bunny-BOTS @ Cool Planet!

Kids will love this Easter workshop where their challenge is to design & make their very own solar-powered Bunny-Bot. 

Your creative innovators will have great fun seeing how these jittery-jumpy bunnies generate electricity from light – energy transfer (younger kids) & engineering design (older kids)!

And whose BOT will win the bunny-dash at the end of the workshop for an Easter treat? Book your places now to find out!

Family make and take activity day

The Rediscovery Centre is hosting a Family Make & Take Activity Day on the 27th of April. Drop in anytime between 11am and 3pm and the activities below will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.

For the Kids (over 6 only) €8

Make your own Grass Heads using recycled materials that would be found around your home. Give them a face and a name. At the end of the workshop you get to take your new friend home with you.

For the Adults €10

Learn how to make beautiful broaches from waste and leftover materials. Express your own style and creativity. At the end of the workshop you get to take your new friend home with you.

*All children must be accompanied by an adult

Playful Steps Family Disco

Playful Steps Family Disco is about being creative, expressive, healthy and fun with our children, to make many happy memories together.

Featuring classic disco anthems and Motown tunes with legends such as Stevie Wonder and Abba, including favourite tunes from children’s movies and shows, the music is guaranteed to have everyone on the dance floor.

There’ll be bubbles, balloons, ribbon sticks, games, story-telling and a play area with crafts to keep the little ones busy plus drinks and snacks available too.

Aimed at families with children of 10 years and under, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring aunties and uncles, cousins and friends.

How much? €7 per person. Grand-parents and babies under 12months go free. Got more than two children? Pay for two adults and two children and your other children are free of charge

Ages suitable for? Aimed at families with children of 10 years and under



This is a free family fun day for 4-7 year old boys & girls. There will be a variety of fun sports games for the kids on our club astro pitch. Prizes will be awarded for trying the games

For parents, we will have first-aid demonstrations from a qualified instructor. Also, there will be information provided on Faughs GAA Club and an opportunity to talk to our coaches and club officers

Get your picture taken with the Liam McCarthy senior All-Ireland cup and The Great Southern and Western Railway Cup (All-Ireland trophy pre-1923)

There will be a free BBQ

This event is open to members & non-members. The aim is to promote Faughs GAA Club as a fun, safe environment for your children to enjoy hurling and camogie

Family-friendly tour

Join us for a special tour designed for children and their guardians, parents and carers.

Our aim is to make the artworks fun and engaging for kids, and to welcome families and visitors of all ages and encourage them to feel comfortable in the Gallery.

Easter Kids’ Drop-by Activities

Drop-in family workshop

At our drop-in workshops, children and their parents/guardians/carers are encouraged to work together on creative projects. Drop-in and stay for as long (or as little!) as you wish.
