Use a big blow-up beach ball or exercise ball (or a yoga ball) to roll baby around on, carefully supporting him.
Place him on top of the ball on his stomach for rolling along the floor, rocking side to side, or holding him while bouncing up and down. Start with slow movements as baby gets used to this new position. Place yourself behind baby as you roll the ball backwards and forwards.
As you become more comfortable with moving baby around like this and as he becomes stronger you can position yourself in front of the ball and make play even more fun with plenty of eye contact. You can pull funny faces, blow raspberries, or make animal noises to entertain your little one.
The free-movement feeling of this game will be a winner with your little one, and it’s also a fun way to give baby some tummy-time exercises.
