How do animals survive in their environment, and why do some go extinct? Learn about incredible animals and their amazing adaptations by exploring and identifying real and replica bones, fossils and taxidermy.

How much? €8 per child, with 1x ticket required for each child attending. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times during the workshop.

There’s a slime and a place for getting messy and it’s here with us at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum this Science Week!

PrintLab Demo Day gives you the opportunity to witness Gutenberg’s invention in action and through PrintLab (Creative Makers at the National Print Museum) discover of the traditional craft of letterpress printing by being creatively involved in hands-on activities, which unite the basic concepts of the craft with digital fabrication and new technologies.

Crafty kids who enjoy ‘making and creating’ will love our Christmas Lantern Workshops!
Children will spend an hour in the festive workshop, cutting, pasting and creating their very own Christmas lantern.
Decorating with Christmas themes of candy-canes and gingerbread-men and using a simple LED circuit, kids will light up their creation to light up your home.
This is a festive workshop that will excite your kids and teach them about sustainable and low-carbon energy choices, particularly around Christmas.
All materials supplied. Kids take home their lantern for all to admire, or to offer as that special gift.
